Need a teacher?
I offer Clarinet, Trombone and Piano lessons.
About myself - I am a dedicated, enthusiastic musician, with a Masters Degree in music from Goldsmiths University Of London. I have been playing music since the age of 4, and have achieved a diploma in clarinet, and grade 8 in both piano and trombone. In my second year of university I won the concerto competition and was given the opportunity to perform Artie Shaw's Concerto for Clarinet with a full symphony orchestra. I still perform with various orchestras around London, and work with various Pop bands as a session musician, gigging and recording regularly. I was lead trombone for the Goldsmiths Creative Jazz Ensemble, as well as lead Clarinet for the Goldsmiths Symphonia.
Teaching experience - For the last 4 years I have taught students of all ages and all ability. I have worked with children with additional needs, and studied modules in teaching and workshop skills.
Approach to musical tuition - Each student is different, and I do my best to find the most valuable approach to take. This can be developing aural skills, and focussing on playing by ear. Or, it can be on the opposite end, where we would learn the theory behind the sheet music and work from there. Most students find a balance in between, and I always aim to find the most affective way to teach.
